The ActionDiesel website today announced that the new ActionDiesel Scouting Report will launch the week of March 5, 2007. The Scouting Report application allows manufacturers, distributors, vendors and the media to search the ActionDiesel website member database for Diesel Drag Racers and Sled Pullers for either sponsorship or to use in advertising, news features or magazine articles on the sport.

Users can specify the type of event in which participants compete, the locality, the racing experience level of the competitors sought, performance products and/or services used by the competitors and competitons they may be attending in the future. Users get a 'ranked' and 'profiled' listing of users fitting the search requirements. They may then click on the user's logo photo to go to the competitor's web site on ActionDiesel, or request the viewing/printing of a "Scouting Report" on the competitor. The Scouting Report contains basic information about the competitor and his/her/their vehicle, their locale, the performance products/services they use, their competition record (last 10 outings) their future competition schedule (next 10 venues), and displays photographs of the competitor's vehicle or competitions.

Manufactures, vendors, the media, etc. can use the photos and information presented along with the competitor's schedule to seek out and meet the competitors at those venues, or can contact them directly through the ActionDiesel private messaging system.

The Scouting Report system was prompted by various requests from both competitors and manufacturer's representatives for a way to bring both parties together for their mutual benefit. Media personnel from news and sport magazines will be able to use the system to get background information for potential stories before race events, and help them pinpoint or target specific racers for more in-depth interviews at the competitions.
